Here are my answers:
1) I’m retired, so staying home means I get to pursue some of my hobbies, which I love: blogging, photography, sewing baby blankets for Project Linus, and serving on three Boards for local organizations.
2 and 3) I don’t have to worry about juggling work, kids or much of anything. My husband and I are free, for the most part, to come and go as we see fit and as long as we are healthy and staying safe. We don’t, however, mingle in crowds, stay out at night in bars, etc. We mostly stay home, work on our pastimes, and write.
4) Because I was an educator for 52 years, I’m still interested in the “new” educational system — some virtual, some in-person learning. And the use of Zoom. It’s fascinating how teachers and students have adapted to new ways of teaching and learning.
5) COVID in our district is mild but cases are increasing. We need to wear masks more often, practice social distancing, and close down our city after 10:00 PM. We’re also a university city, so we need to encourage the collegians to stay safe as well.
